Unlocking Your Benefits: Consumer-Driven Health Plans Simplified

To ease out-of-pocket costs and improve your overall well-being, it’s recommended that you utilize the consumer driven health plans (CDHPs) offered by your employer for eligible health expenses. With the help of online and mobile tools, you can manage your available funds and maximize your overall savings.

Commonly used CDHPs include Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). These account types help individuals manage healthcare expenses by setting aside tax-free funds to be used for qualified medical expenditures.

At Zenith American Solutions, we provide our clients with access to a wide range of reimbursement account programs and resources. Our goal is to reduce plan expenditures while providing valuable education on how to use healthcare dollars wisely.

Simplify Your CDHP with Benefit Debit Cards

Your benefit debit card is a convenient way to pay for eligible medical expenses at the point of service. This card allows you to easily pay for eligible expenses upfront.

To use the card: Simply present your benefit debit card to the provider at the time of service like you would any other payment type. You may use the card only at qualified locations, such as hospitals, physicians’ offices, dental offices, vision services locations, and pharmacies for eligible healthcare products and services under your employer’s Benefit Plan. Payments are automatically withdrawn from your benefit account, and many purchases won’t require you to manually submit a receipt.

What happens next?: The provider will then charge the card for the cost of the service, and the amount will be deducted from your account balance. It’s important to track of your account balance to ensure you have sufficient funds in your account to cover your expenses. You can typically check your balance online through our app, Zenith Flex, or on your desktop at www.zenithflex.com.

For claims and bills processed by your health plan, you can include your debit card number on your invoice and return it to the provider to pay the patient responsibility amount.

  • Keep receipts and other supporting documentation related to your expenses. You may be asked to submit itemized receipts to verify the expense is eligible.

  • Most Rx payments require no additional action from you after you swipe your card at the pharmacy.

If your employer offers more than one reimbursement account, don’t worry! Your one debit card can provide access to all of your benefit accounts:

  • Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)

  • Health Savings Account (HSA)

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

  • Dependent Care

  • Transit Account

  • Parking Account
